Here's a photo of "Tyler's Finest" in action. OK, "action" is an understatement. It looks like these two were discussing the shortest route to Dunkin' Donuts. I could be wrong.

Azalea Trail
When the city of Tyler does something right, they deserve to be noticed. While I personally am not fond of the city itself (maybe it's just the people), I have to admit the Azalea Trail is something to be adored and appreciated. If you are not from Tyler, it's worth a day trip out here. You can also include a visit to the zoo. All-in-all, you probably wouldn't be too disappointed.
Anyway, today was a gorgeous day...not chilly and definitely not the sweltering heat yet to be experienced when summer hits. Here are some photos from the Azalea Trail. Enjoy!

Iodine in demand; East Texas vitamin shops sold out
Article courtesy of KETK in Tyler, TX. News you won’t see anywhere else!
TYLER — Fears of nuclear radiation exposure has skyrocketed the exportation of iodine overseas.
And even here in East Texas, it's hard to find iodine.
One of the biggest vitamin and drug suppliers in the area, Drug Emporium is completely sold out of iodine right now.
Some say it's because it's said to protect from the aftermath of a nuclear explosion.
Really? IT'S HAPPENING ACROSS THE PACIFIC! NOT IN TYLER, TX PEOPLE! Get your head out of your asses and think about others for a change!
The Tsunami Affects Tyler, TX
As we have all probably heard by now, Japan was hit with an earthquake, Tsunami, and now the threat of a nuclear meltdown. How does this affect Tyler, TX? It doesn’t exactly unless you listen to the media. OOPS, I’m sorry – please forgive me, I forgot to mention that the Tyler Junior College Apache Belles were in Hawaii for a competition during the possible tsunami that was more than likely paid for by citizen tax dollars. But that’s another story!
Watching the news here will give you a good chuckle and actually provides more entertainment than Beth Chapman on Dog the Bounty Hunter trying to balance herself between high heels and extra large boobs. In fact, it’s worth the cost of cable TV. KETK interviewed several Tyler-ites, asking how they were affected by the earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. Don’t get me wrong because I can understand the people that have relatives over there, etc., but come on! Really? I’m sorry, but the situation in Japan has not affected Tyler all that much.
Tip for the day Tyler-ites: grab your umbrella. There is a chance of rain today. But don’t worry, it won’t last long. It’s only residual ocean spray from the Tsunami that hit Japan. Nobody else in the US will be affected…Only Tyler, TX.
KETK – News You Won’t See Anywhere Else!
…which, as the title suggests, is absolutely 100% true. Living in TYLER, TX, you quickly realize that the people living in TYLER think that the world revolves around them and this podunk, big city wishing, little pea-pickin’ town – TYLER, TX. So, here it goes…my introduction to the narcissism and ridiculousness that coexist in TYLER, TX. Welcome! By the way, did I say TYLER, TX enough? I want to make sure they know I’m giving them a little plug!
