As we have all probably heard by now, Japan was hit with an earthquake, Tsunami, and now the threat of a nuclear meltdown. How does this affect Tyler, TX? It doesn’t exactly unless you listen to the media. OOPS, I’m sorry – please forgive me, I forgot to mention that the Tyler Junior College Apache Belles were in Hawaii for a competition during the possible tsunami that was more than likely paid for by citizen tax dollars. But that’s another story!
Watching the news here will give you a good chuckle and actually provides more entertainment than Beth Chapman on Dog the Bounty Hunter trying to balance herself between high heels and extra large boobs. In fact, it’s worth the cost of cable TV. KETK interviewed several Tyler-ites, asking how they were affected by the earthquake and Tsunami in Japan. Don’t get me wrong because I can understand the people that have relatives over there, etc., but come on! Really? I’m sorry, but the situation in Japan has not affected Tyler all that much.
Tip for the day Tyler-ites: grab your umbrella. There is a chance of rain today. But don’t worry, it won’t last long. It’s only residual ocean spray from the Tsunami that hit Japan. Nobody else in the US will be affected…Only Tyler, TX.
